Monday Treasury Schedule: Federal holiday.
Monday Earnings: No earnings releases of interest. US markets closed.
Tuesday: No major indicators scheduled for release.
Tuesday Treasury Schedule: 11 AM Eastern 4-Week T-Bill Announcement; 1 PM Eastern 3-Month and 6-Month T-Bill Auctions
Tuesday Earnings: Not much today, but here's an interesting little company that is reporting earnings. SPACEHAB INC [Ticker: SPAB; Industry: Aerospace/Defense Products & Services ] SPACEHAB, Incorporated provides commercial and government space services. It develops, owns, and operates habitat and laboratory modules and cargo carriers aboard NASA’s space shuttles for space station re-supply and research purposes.
Wednesday: The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release 2nd Quarter Productivity stats. [Business Productivity Change 1.5%; Manufacturing Change 2.6%] The Institute for Supply Management will report on the service and retail sectors with its Nonmanufacturing Report on Business. [Business Activity/Production Index down 2.2%] The Federal Reserve's Beige Book, which breaks down economic activity for each of the twelve federal reserve districts, is scheduled for release. The Bank of Canada will make a monetary policy/interest rate announcement. [Rates unchanged] The lone housing market stat of the week is the Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey from the Mortgage Bankers Association. [Purchase Applications Up 3.7 Percent]
Wednesday Treasury Schedule: 1 PM Eastern 4-Week T-Bill Auction
Wednesday Earnings: DOLLAR FINANCIAL COR [Ticker: DLLR; Industry: Credit Services ]; SCO GRP INC [Ticker: SCOX; Industry: Internet Software & Services ]
Thursday: The Bank of England will make a monetary policy/interest rate announcement. [No Change] The Energy information Administration will issue its weekly petroleum data summary and the accompanying analysis newsletter This Week in Petroleum, one day late because of the holiday. The Commerce Department will report on Wholesale Trade for July. [Sales Up 0.4%; Inventory-Sales Ratio 1.5] The Employment and Training Administration will release the weekly Jobless Claims report. [Down 9,000]
Thursday Treasury Schedule: 11 AM Eastern 3-Month and 6-Month T-Bill and 10-Year Note Announcements; 3 PM Eastern Treasury STRIPS
Thursday Earnings: JOS A BANK CLOTHIERS [Ticker: JOSB; Industry: Apparel Stores ]; National Semiconductor Corp [Ticker: NSM; Industry: Semiconductor - Broad Line ]
Friday: The Federal Reserve will report on Consumer Credit figures from July. [Increased at 2 3/4% annual rate]
Friday Treasury Schedule: No announcements or auctions.
Friday Earnings: Nothing interesting.

The earnings releases listed are companies I've chosen because of their industries, because of market capitalization (the size of the company), because they have local plants in my area or for various other reasons of general interest. Please do not take these as a “recommendation†of any sort. That I list them here simply means that I think the results may be interesting for any number of reason - I may occasionally even choose companies where I expect negative results.
